Agency Holiday Schedule

Many of you have asked what our schedule will be like for the holiday season SO here is our schedule....

We will maintain our normal hours through Friday December 18th.

The week of Christmas and the week of New Years (12/21-1/1) we will be in and out of the office as needed, therefore there will NOT be someone at the agency during normal office hours. We will be checking our emails daily and any emergency phone calls can be made to our cell phones.

We will resume our normal office hours on Monday January 4, 2010.

Giving Back UPDATE

Just wanted to let you know, we are accepting more wrapping paper and board games through Friday of this week 12-11-09. Please feel free to come by and drop off your donations!


It is hard to believe that we are less than 2 months from Christmas! This has been a great year for the agency. We are so proud of the continued growth and we feel so blessed! As we enter the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season we are reminded that there are many who not are so blessed. Last year, we gave back by donating Christmas wrapping paper and board games to children in foster care. We are asking you again this year to partner with us in providing these items. Drop off your donations at J Pervis Talent anytime Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 5:00 by December 11. Thank you for your willingness to give during this holiday season to some of Georgia's foster kids!

Giving Back: Two Williams Homes

The Two Williams Build is now up on our online registration system. Please ask your group members to use it to sign up for the build. The process is short and sweet. Four easy steps are provided below.

1) Visit our volunteer registration website at www.atlantahabitat.volunteerhub.com .

2) For volunteers who have not used this website before: Click Register and then select a user name and password, enter the join code 2Williams (this join code is important because it enables your group members to view the sign up information specific to your build) and input contact information. NOTE: At this point volunteers have not signed up for your build yet. They have only created an account.

For people who volunteered on this build last year: Enter your user name and password and then click Sign In.

3) Click the Sign Up button under Upcoming Events to sign up for the Two Williams Build day(s) of interest

4) Click Sign Out

After volunteers sign up they will receive a confirmation email with links for Atlanta Habitat background information, Rules to Build By, Release & Waiver, and map & directions to the build site. As the group coordinator, you will have administrative access to the site so you can see a list of all the volunteers who have signed up for your volunteer days and easily communicate with them (either individually or as a group) via email. The attached document provides simple instructions for how that works.

Agency Update!

J Pervis Talent has had a phenomenal 2009. We are excited about the upcoming year. Here are a few things for us to remind you about to help make 2010 great!


EVALUTIONS:
In preparation for another great year we have scheduled the mandatory evaluation. The evaluation will give us a chance to get re-acquainted, see who has improved on their acting skills, and who needs to update photos.

Note: If I do not hear from you about the evaluation I will assume that you have made the decision to take a break from the business or have chosen a different path. You will then be categorized as inactive.

Children and Teens

Note: Please RSVP – you may request a morning or an afternoon slot

Actors/Models ages 20 & Up:
Wednesday January 27, 2010 – times will all be in the afternoon
Note: RSVP for a specific time slot

All evaluations will take place at J Pervis Talent Agency: 260 W. Pike Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046

To adequately evaluate your skills and marketing material bring your headshot with resume attached and/or composite card. Non-readers should prepare a mini-commercial (10 – 30 seconds). All others should prepare either a 30 – 60 second commercial OR a 60 second monologue.

Please treat this as an actual audition and be 100 % prepared! I have attached a self-evaluation form. Please complete and bring it to the evaluation. If you would like feedback please have a self-addressed stamped envelope for a copy of the form to be sent back to you.

If you are currently on the website:
To renew your individual page on the J Pervis Talent website a renewal fee of $55 must be received in our office no later than January 1st. This fee covers unlimited headshot, resume, and demo updates for 2010. Send all updates for the resumes to info@jpervistalent.com. To update the headshots send a CD to the office in jpg format. There will be a 15 day grace period for all payments not received by January 1st. The late fee after January 1st is $20 (total $75), due by January 31st. If we do not receive payment for renewal you will be automatically deleted from the website. Therefore if payment is received after 1/15 you will be considered new talent on the website again, and in order to reactivate your status the fee will be $85.00 with a renewal due every January.

If you are NOT on the website and would like to be added:
Send an updated resume with a CD of your jpg headshots to J Pervis Talent Agency along with your initial set-up fee of $85.00. Note: There will be an annual renewal fee due each January. Allow approximately 30 days for headshots and resumes to be uploaded on the website. The website contains a brief history of the agency, a press and photo section, and most importantly, photos of our talent pool. December Chez Group Workshop

Year End Celebration with Shay Bentley-Griffin on December 6th! Class time is 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM


With more work in film and television coming to Georgia in 2010, the Chez Studio will be having their final workshop of 2009. Our next Actor's Workshop will take place on Sunday December 6th.
Actors will learn about the audition process from Casting Director/Film Producer Shay Bentley-Griffin. This will be a class that will challenge those who have been working.
Working actors that have trained with the Chez Studio include: Garland Hunt, Jr , Justin Miles, L Warren Young, Allanah Parmer, Katherine Shepler, Susan Griffiths, Greg Kamp and Chandler Massey. As well as Dakota Fanning!
Our goal is to assist actors by creating a professional work place for talent while incorporating a fun and informative curriculum.
Our classes are limited in number and we will secure space by the first commitments made to the class. The cost of this workshop is $200.00 payable by check, money order, or paypal! If you have participated in Chez Group Workshops in the past you'll receive a $10.00 discount.

Actors will learn about the audition process, the differences in auditioning for film and commercials, and experience professional feedback from Casting Director/Film Producer Shay Bentley-Griffin as well as a special quest who is truly a professional in the industry. This will be a class that will challenge those who have been working and will also serve as an introductory course for new talent.
