Chez Studio Workshop for Adults - June 19th-20th with L.A Casting Director Jason Wood CSA
Jason Wood returns to partner with Shay Bentley Griffin as they encourage actors to learn and hone their craft.
Through the workshops offered at the Chez Studio, Griffin is dedicated to building the Georgia and Southeast talent base, thus enabling more roles to be cast locally. The guest instructors are all very successful working professionals in the film and television industry. She is passionate about providing professional training for actors in the Southeast and always encourages producers and directors to look to local talent for their casting needs.
As a casting director, Griffin has cast well over 200 television and feature film projects. She has always worked to create breakout opportunities for local actors, helping to launch the careers of Walton Goggins (“Justified”, “The Shield”), Grace Zabriskie (“Big Love”), Ray McKinnon (“Deadwood”, “The Blind Side”), Chandler Massey ("Days of our Lives") Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”), Gary Anthony Williams (“The Boondocks”) and many others.
Along with other industry leaders, Griffin was a major industry leader that worked to pass the tax incentive bill that positioned Georgia once again as a major film and television center. The incentive has brought millions of dollars to Georgia and created hundreds of jobs. Because of the incentive, Georgia is enjoying an explosion of film and TV production, with more on the way. =
Actors now have a genuine opportunity to build careers in here in Georgia and the Southeast.
