You may have a great voice and being a Voice Actor is really cool. However having a great voice is like having an expensive 5 speed BMW. It's nice, but will do you no good until you learn how to drive a stick/manual transmission.


If you’ve ever wanted to be the voice everyone hears on TV and radio commercials, or documentary and audio book narrations? Here is your chance to move toward an exciting new adventure called voice-over.



Mike Ray will help bring out the best in you! Actor, comedian, radio host, and voice over talent, Mike Ray is holding a voice over workshop on Sat. April 10th from 11:30-4pm, at his studio in Stone Mountain, GA. This fun, informative, and empowering workshop will teach you what you need to know about the voiceover industry. The workshop will cover many different types of voiceovers and what it takes to get started as a voice actor. You will be coached, evaluated, and have an opportunity to step in side the recording booth and record.

Chez Group Workshop

We know that everyone enjoyed the opportunity to work with Jason Wood in the weekend workshop. He is an excellent instructor. It is exciting, because he really supports our actors both when he is casting projects in Atlanta as well as when they are in Los Angeles. We look forward to Jason's return in a few months.

Our April adult workshop will be conducted by Shannon Eubanks. She is a founding member of the Chez Group workshop program and continues to help strengthen the skill of actors at different levels of their craft. Always requested by our actors, we are pleased to have her joining us next month.

Our April workshop with Shannon Eubanks will provide a practical, step-by-step process which allows the actor (whether beginner or long-time professional) to move from script analysis, through internalization of the character and the scene, to cold reading / audition in a manner which allows their talent to manifest correctly FOR CAMERA. They will know the difference in performance styles for commercials vs. soaps & sitcoms vs. nighttime television and feature film. They will be filmed and watch playback so that they can monitor their adjustments and presentation.


Shannon Eubanks Shannon Eubanks’ acting, directing, writing, and teaching careers have been intertwined for over twenty-five years. She performs often on network television for NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, the Disney Channel, Lifetime, and the Family Channel; in feature films for 20th Century Fox, Columbia, and Warner Brothers, and was an award-winning theatre actor/director in Los Angeles for eighteen years, as well as across the United States in regional repertory. She has taught acting as a Guest Artist at the high school, college, and graduate level, for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Conservatory and M.F.A. programs, and as a noted private coach in Los Angeles and now in Atlanta. Her cold reading and camera technique for actors has been developed and refined so as to be suitable for both absolute beginners and working professionals.

Writer's Workshop

All great movies begin with an imaginative, structured and compelling screenplay. Here is your opportunity to work one-on-one with Hollywood creative executive Amy Dean to learn the key fundamentals of screenwriting!

Details:
• Twelve Week Course
• Includes:
o intense two day writers workshop
o Covers the ins and outs of screenwriting, everything from brainstorming to pitching the final product;
o A writing period over the course of which writers will meet with the instructor ones a week via skype/ichat
o Editing and revising period
o An Exciting conclusion with a table read of a portion of your screenplay in front of a live audience!
o This program is intended for serious writers and is limited to accepting only six student. Selection is by audition only.
