JULY ADVANCED FILM ACTING WORKSHOP
with Director Lance Dreesen!
Chez Studio continues its ongoing commitment to professional training and is planning to hold another informative acting workshop next month. July 25th and 26th.
This will be a workshop for adults that will focus on advanced technique for film and television acting. The class will cover how to tap into real emotion while dealing with all of the aspects of acting in a technical medium. If you are a working actor who wants to hone their craft, a stage actor who wants to learn more about TV and film acting, or an actor that wants to improve to the point where you can secure an agent and work professionally, THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU!
This workshop will be conducted by Director Lance Dreesen (bio available at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004165/ and www.red5entertainment.com) whose latest film THE WAY HOME, starring Dean Cain, just premiered at the FOX Theater. Dreesen has over 20 years of experience in the film industry both as director and acting instructor – experience he will share with you that will help you improve as an actor and get hired!

Randall Sims has been eye witness to thousands of commercial auditions as the casting associate at CSA and before that at Stillwell Casting. Now, Randall shares his secrets and insights as to who books roles and why they book.

The beginners course takes actors through the process of understanding how to audition for commercials. Curriculum includes headshots that get you in door, how to prepare for a commercial audition, how to enter a casting room full of clients, and what it takes to book the gig. Thursday evenings for 6 weeks.

Meisner for Film -- NEW CLASS STARTING SATURDAY JULY 11TH FROM 11-2!!

Sanford Meisner is one of America's Master Acting Teachers. Meisner created a series of exercises for actors that he refined for over 50 years at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. For Meisner, his approach was designed "to eliminate all intellectuality from the actor's instrument and to make him a spontaneous responder to where he is, what is happening to him and what is being done to him."

Meisner Training is an interdependent series of exercises that build upon one another. Meisner students work on a series of progressively complex exercises to develop "moment-to-moment" spontaneity, which allow actors to move beyond the printed script and address the underlying emotional and philosophical themes of the script.

Some people Meisner trained include: James Caan, Steve McQueen, Robert Duvall, Gregory Peck, Bob Fosse, Diane Keaton, Peter Falk, Jon Voight, Jeff Goldblum, Grace Kelly, James Doohan, Kim Basinger, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Sandra Bullock, Tom Cruise, James Gandolfini, David Mamet, Arthur Miller and Sydney Pollack.

Workshop Opportunity




JIM MOODY, actor/teacher/director from New York City, graduate of The Julliard School, Masters in Theatre, Nationally renowned teacher and lecturer. Film and Television credits include, Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Law and Order SVU, Third Watch, 28 Days, The Best Man, Celebrity, New York Undercover, Lean on Me, Bad Boys, D.C. Cab, Fame, The Last Dragon, Fighting Back, Personal Best, Night Falls on Manhattan and Who’s the Man, among others.

Mr. Moody will be teaching his intensive workshop in Scene Study again this August. The workshop is for ages 16 and over. It is not a beginner workshop, only those with some previous experience and/or training should attend.
